Grow Your Blog Party and Blog Hop

Welcome New Visitors!

Thank you for stopping by to visit! Here I talk about making jewelry and my beading passion, or perhaps that is my shopping for beads obsession. ;)

I work for a craft store, so most of my bead collection is commercial beads and supplies, but I am finding so much to tempt me with true handcrafted beads, both lampwork glass and polymer clay. I just ordered some special polymer clay beads for a bead soup party that I plan on joining, and I have a few ceramic beads from ceramic artists, so I have made the first steps.I work for a craft store, so most of my bead collection is commercial beads and supplies, but I am finding so much to tempt me with true handcrafted beads, both lampwork glass and polymer clay. {I recently bought some special polymer clay beads on Etsy for a bead soup party that I plan on joining, and I have a few ceramic beads from ceramic artists, so I have made the first steps!} But, I also have a fabric stash that begs to be used and I still get it out every so often. Here's a quilt top that is ready to be quilted.

If projects use up my stash of beads, fabric and scrapbook paper, so much the better! Sometimes I'll share posts about other topics that interest me as well. Join me in my journey: you can select from many ways to follow this blog. Just visit the sidebar for options. I'd love it if you leave a comment, let me know what your crafty interests are, and leave a link to your blog.

  4. Hi Louise, Thank you for coming by my blog and leaving your lovely comment. I've had a look through some of your posts and joined as a follower as I definitely want to see more of your work. Your jewellery is gorgeous and I love your chainmaille though I have to say those jumprings are like absolute catnip to cats! Magic, my tortie, also loves my work lamp and sits stretching her head up like a cat goddess to get nearer the heat source. One day she's going to frazzle her head! Looking forward to finding out more about your feline friends too.

    Love and best

    1. Happy to meet you too, Nan. I am flattered to be included in the category of 'artist'. Even thougj I have been doing this "bead stringing thing" for more than 10 years. Not in a very productive way, but never thought to call myself an artist. I only recently promoted myself to designer. :)

    1. Welcome to my blog Berina - I love the calendar that you made! I love crochet, and passed my interest onto my daughter. She does little crochet creatures. I'll stick with jewelry, quilting, photography, sewing, card making, and shopping for craft supplies, of course!

  12. Hi Louise!

Thank you for following my blog and for your compliment on my leaf earrings. The design is by Viki Szabo and you can find the tutorial on Etsy for sale (http://www.etsy.com/pt/listing/71803038/beaded-earrings-pattern-tutorial-leaf-of).

I also love chain maille and own several books, and it can be difficult learning a new weave but if you don't succeed at first, try again, and again, until you got it right.

    Happy creating!

  22. Hi Louise,
I'm visiting from grow your blog today. I find you crafty, something I like. I have thought about doing lampwork beads, however I'm following your resolution this year and not looking into anything tedious. Why, why why chain mail, lol that has to be the most tedious of all. I'm frustrated with dislexia and this is not something Icould sort out. I'm having trouble with capcha on all these blogs. Hope you come by for a visit.

  23. Hi, Louise! I am visiting quite haphazardly from GYB so was very pleased to get your visit this morning (helps me shortcut to interesting blogs). I'm not sure I could handle working in a craft store, that would be like a drug addict in the pharmacy ;)

I've followed you via both GFC and Bloglovin'... some days one feed just isn't enough *TeeHee*
